Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is an idyllic, exclusive oasis, set within a 225-square-kilometre desert conservation reserve - a place where a commitment to service and total guest satisfaction is underlined by a ratio of three staff to every one of the sumptuous guest suites- ensuring attentive and personalised service 24-hours a day.
Built in the style of a traditional Bedouin encampment the main building is testimony to a way of life which has not changed in thousands of years. Here, guest areas are adorned with traditional artifacts and precious antiquities.
Framed by the Hajar Mountains in the distance - this is a place of unique contrasts. Luxurious individual suites with private pools, fine dining, exquisite wines, panoramic skyscapes and indigenous flora and fauna are all set within wide open plains, the effect of which is one of transformation - allowing guests to unwind, relax and experience total peace and balance.

The Legend of Al Maha (Arabic for Arabian oryx) describes a magical place where water flowed from a rock, a perpetual spring fed by ancient underground lakes.

Wherever you are at Al Maha, the levels of service are exceptional. All guests have a dedicated Guest Relations Coordinator - the objective is to attend every need, with discretion, courtesy and care. This hand-picked team is drawn from over 20 countries and together, speaks over 30 languages.
Such high levels of service are integral to the Al Maha philosophy - that is, guests should feel total freedom to choose - where and when to dine, take excursions or visit a point of interest.
Dining
Dining at Al Maha is about options in an atmosphere of relaxed informality. Styles range from Mediterranean to Arabic, in settings which can be intimate or informal.
All meals are inclusive and guests can enjoy a sundowner on the terrace or a relaxing drink in The Bar. Whether the guest chooses to dine on their veranda, in The Dining Room or whilst enjoying the magnificent conservation reserve during a picnic on safari or a barbecue in the desert, everyone is assured an experience to remember.
Al Maha is a genuinely fine dining experience - international chefs and talented staff ensure that guests enjoy the very highest culinary standards. In the elegant dining room for instance, guests enjoy fabulous views and five-star cuisine in a beautifully refined and tastefully appointed environment, and, dining alfresco - while overlooking the infinite dunes is an experience not to be missed.
Arabic cuisine has been influenced by other cuisines from the Philippines and the Indian subcontinent to Sri Lanka and today, they are all part of the unique blend of cuisine at Al Maha.
Al Majilis Boardroom
In total contrast to the natural surroundings of Al Maha, the Al Majlis Boardroom employs state-of-the-art multimedia presentation equipment and on-line video conferencing. Seminars can be held with individuals or groups anywhere in the world, digital data shared, training executed and opinions collated instantly using a voting system, all at the touch of a button.
Al Maha’s conference facility is equipped to accommodate:

Jamila Spa & Leisure Centre
Discreetly concealed amidst the dunes near the main building and integrated into the main swimming pool and pool bar is Al Maha’s Jamilah Spa & Leisure Centre. In order to conserve the desert’s most precious resource and in keeping with Al Maha’s environmental focus, all the water is fully recycled and returned to its groundwater source via a unique irrigation system.
The world-class spa and leisure facility also incorporates:
* Two single massage rooms above private gardens offering complete body massage treatments
* Timber decks that link the interior with the exterior allowing for easy access to the lush oasis
* Two double massage rooms offer treatment for couples in complete privacy and are attached to the hydrotherapy and Rasool therapy rooms, both with private bathrooms
* Private massage rooms are linked by a public area to an ‘infinity edge’ relaxation pool

On-site Activities
Falconry: The art of falconry dates back to the 13th century BC. At Al Maha, guests can take the opportunity to view a number of different species of falcons. These can be viewed, as they are left to "weather" in the shaded area of the courtyard and they can also be handled under the supervision of one of the Field Guides. "Fly to the lure" demonstrations take place during the cooler parts of the day.
Horse and Camel Safaris: Both the Arabian horse and the camel have, since time immemorial, been used for many purposes, serving as a means to cross the deserts, fight wars and provide the Bedu with meat and milk.
At the resort, guided horse and camel rides are conducted through the reserve, giving guests the opportunity of linking with the natural splendour of the Arabian desert
Archery: The traditional recurved bow, which finds its origin in the east, can be experienced, under supervision, at Al Maha. A designated area is utilised, where the archer can test his skills with this traditional weaponry.

Bedouin Suite
Carefully designed to harmonise with the spectacular surroundings - the suites draw inspiration from traditional architecture. Privacy is paramount - each of the suites stands in its own space with a large veranda and private chilled pool. All suites have a large walk-in shower and king-sized bath as well as a "his and hers" vanity area, dressing area, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.
At 75 square metres, the 40 Bedouin Suites are generously proportioned and are sumptuously furnished with hand-crafted care and meticulous attention to detail. Each features a walk-in shower, king-sized bath, a "his and hers" vanity area, dressing area, minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.
Light is abundant in all suites - floor to ceiling windows afford unhindered views across an incomparable terrain. Traditional textiles and locally-sourced artifacts adorn the suites (many of which are for sale). In the private pools guests overlook a scene which astounds the senses and fires the imagination.
Emirates Suite
At 375 square metres, the Emirates Suite is the definitive in spacious luxury. With two large bedrooms, (one twin and one double) dining and living areas and residential quarters for guests' private staff - it offers an opulent style in which to experience the ultimate stay at Al Maha.
Royal Suite
There are two Royal Suites - comprising two bedrooms (one twin and one double) each featuring a walk-in shower, king-sized bath, a "his and hers" vanity area, dressing area, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable lounge area, totalling a generous 175 square metres.

How to get to the hotel? |
|
Al Maha Desert Resort is located at a 45 minutes drive from Dubai International Airport, accessible from the main Dubai/Al Ain highway by four-wheel drive vehicle. Private vehicles are not allowed in the resort, as well as outside visitors.

Mandatory Surcharge
-A mandatory handling fee of USD 15.00 per person will have to be added on quoted price.

All rates shown are in US $.
Package Includes
-All rates shown are per room/suite and include all taxes.
-Rates are on a full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) excluding beverages and include on-site activities.
-All rates include personalized meet & greet service.
Maximum Occupancy
• Bedouin Suite: Maximum 2 people per suite.
• The Emirates: Maximum 4 people per suite.
• Royal Suite: Maximum 4 people per suite.
On Site Activities Include :
-On site activities included in the rates are desert safari within Al Maha Reserve, archery, falconry, camel and horse riding safaris and dune dinners.
A maximum of two on-site activities per day per person is included in the rates. Any additional activities will be charged directly to the clients.
Airport Transfers
-Airport transfers can be arranged at a supplement. Please enquire at the moment of booking.
Christmas & New Year Policy
-There is a compulsory 3 nights minimum stay over the New Year's Eve period.
Payment Requirements
For your convenience, Internet Travel Group offers secure online payments with the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.
For all reservations
-The full amount will be charged at the moment of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
-If cancellation or ammendment is received 26 days or more prior to arrival, a 20% of the full amount will apply as a cancellation fee.
-If cancellation or amendment is received 25-10 days prior to arrival, then one night charge will apply.
-If cancellation or amendment is received 9 days prior to arrival, then full stay charge will apply.
-No show will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
Children Policy (for children aged under 12)
-Children under 12 years old are not allowed due to security reasons.
-Children of 12 and above are not permitted in parent’s room and should be booked in an additional room at the adult rate.
Liability
Internet Travel Group acts as intermediary between all hotels, transport operators, tourist attraction companies, and local tourist offices providing the services. Internet Travel Group is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists; including those occurring outside of the touring programmes. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, acts of God or political actions / unrest must be borne by the tourists. Programmes and prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of being posted on the site. They are therefore subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour / stay / excursion / car rental. A submitted reservation request is indicative of the tourist agreement to the above conditions.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.
Credit Card
In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
